Most cherry-pick good scripture verses to share and wave around as support for a particular view. These cherry-picked verses are some that I find problematic. These verses also helped contribute to My Faith Crisis and subsequent deconstruction.

2 Samuel 12:13-18 - God kills David’s son as punishment.

Isaiah 13:16

Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled⁠, and their wives ravished.

Book of Job - God killed children, women, etc.

2 Kings 2:24

  • Killing 70,000 men due to David’s sin as punishment.

1 Kings 18:16-40 - Elijah kills 450 prophets of Baal.
