An Update on My Faith Crisis
Earlier today, YouTube brought a video forward in my feed that caught my attention. It’s only around ten minutes long, but the message really resonated with me.
Andrew Marusak on his channel The Altarless Traveler provides what he calls “Four Fault Lines” that are the real reasons for why children are leaving religion:
- The Believability Gap.
- The Exposure Effect.
- The Integrity Gap.
- Digital Democracy.
I won’t reiterate what he says in the video as I do think it’s an important watch. I can relate with all four of the points he makes with my own deconstruction away from the LDS faith. I’m glad I’m not alone on this journey even when it feels like it sometimes.
